Quality training for First Aid and CPR Courses in Fort McMurray
First Aid
First aid training classes introduce the trainee to different topics, focusing the EMS (emergency medical services) system. Students learn to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillation (AED), wound care, and addressing injuries that compromise oxygenation and circulation. Full first aid training programs last 14-16 hours.
CPR/AED-only classes are also available, lasting 4, 5, and 6 hours long for each of the levels (A, C, HCP). Level A and C are for beginner trainees (first timers). Level A focuses on adult victims and level C focuses on adult and pediatric victims. Level HCP is for health care professionals and focuses CPR/AED in the hospital setting.
Private Courses
Fort McMurray First Aid offers private instructors for special training at home or for company conferences and outings. The instructors have hourly rates and schedules so just send an e-mail or give a call to inquire about them.
Certification from St Mark James
All students are awarded St Mark James certificate cards once a program is completed. To pass a course, the student is required to have complete attendance, at least 75 percent on the written exam, and good skill demonstration. Wall-mount sized certificates can be requested.
Certificates are valid for three years and can be renewed through recertification programs. First aid training recertification lasts 8 hours, is offered twice weekly, and included CPR level C recertification as well.
