The following is a list of available safety and first aid / CPR courses available at the Coquitlam training centre:

  • Intermediate / Standard First Aid – 144.99 – This WorkSafe BC course comes in two formats. Participants can take the course in either a blended format or entirely in class. The blended format allows for half online and one day in class. The full in class one requires two days in class. Participants enrolled in this course will learn a variety of things including how to recognize and manage heart attacks, angina, transient ischemic attacks, strokes, asthma, anaphylaxis, partial and full obstructed airways, fainting, head injuries, broken bones, contusions, burns, hypothermia, frost bite, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, heat cramps, dislocation, sprains, allergic reactions, strains and more. CPR certification is included in the course and participants have the option of partnering the course with various levels of CPR. Automated external defibrillator (AED) training and certification is also included in this popular first aid course.
  • Basic / Emergency First aid – 84.99 – This popular course meets the equivalency requirements of OFA level 1. To successfully complete this course participants have to spend a full day in a classroom covering respiratory and circulatory emergencies. CPR and AED training and certification is also included.
  • Advanced First Aid – 949.99 – This 2 week course is offered in a blended format. One week of training completed at your own pace on-line followed by a 5 day in house course. A whole host of first aid topics are covered including transport and spinal injuries.
